Violet Miranda: Girl Pirate (#2 of 4)

Written by Emily Pohl-Weary
Illustrated by Willow Dawson

A graphic novel in four parts

Continuing the girls' story where issue #1 left off, Violet Miranda and her best friend, Elsa Bonnet, lost everything when the son of their archenemy looted the idyllic island they called home, killed their fathers, and kidnapped the girls and their mothers.

After long months at sea, life on a pirateâs ship has become commonplace. Issue #2 promises more adventures as the girls train to become fearsome pirates.

Emily Pohl-Weary and Willow Dawson envisioned Violet Miranda: Girl Pirate in response to the male-dominated comics industryâs lack of positive role models for teen girls.

Yo, Sea Dogs

Hey, Lovelorn Sea Dogs!

Pirates across Toronto pulled up their breeches, dusted off their black hearts, and swaggered over to The Boat, in Kensington Market, to help us launch the second issue of our girl pirate series. Launch info here and fearsome photos here.
