Fish spine was a fixture at one of my first real jobs. I was a university student with a summer gig at the Canadian Filmmakers' Distribution Centre. The red fish spine was a nice accent to the decor at the 37 Hanna Ave office. 
When I saw this blue fish spine at a shop for kids, I purchased it. Less because of job nostalgia, and more because it was being sold on the cheap, and adds cheer to the interior decoration of  any room it hangs in.
