The
same man who sold us the inflatable chicken also sold us this cow. It was a
coincidence that we met him again.
The vendor told us he grew up on a farm and
as a little boy the chore he hated most was milking cows. He often hid from
his father so as to, at the very least, delay doing them. One morning, he
hid inside a cow. He watched out of the cow's ears as his father looked for
him. Eventually, his father gave up the search and began to milk the cow
himself.
The vendor remarked that he could see the
impression of his father's hands around the cow's teats.
